File Information for the Downloads Directory

This directory contains two basic versions of iOta:

 - Versions 0.7 and 0.8 are KDE/Qt based versions of iOta.
   Version 0.8 is the latest iOta release and includes a
   brand new KDE/Qt frontend along with seamless integration
   into the KDE infrastructure.

 - Version 0.6.5 is a text-only version and is no longer 
   recommended for downloading.


Requirements:

 - For iOta 0.8, your OS should have KDE 3.3.x and Berkeley DB 4.x,
    preferably Berkeley DB 4.1
 
 - For iOta 0.7, your OS should have KDE 3.x, ImageMagick 5.5.x, 
   and Berkeley DB 4.x.  
 
 - Redhat 9.0 systems need bzip2-devel-1.0.2-8.i386.rpm. For 
   some reason, the RPM of iOta did not catch this as a dependency.

The file/directory structure is organized as follows:

    iota-0.7.freebsd-4.8.tgz      - iOta binary package for FreeBSD 4.8
    iota-0.7.tar.gz               - iOta sources. Compiles easily.


  RELEASE-0.6.5/
    iOta-0.6-1.i586.rpm           - iOta binary RPM (tested on Mandrake+RedHat)
    db4-4.0.14-14.i386.rpm        - BerkeleyDB 4.04 RPM, needed for iOta.

    iOta-0.6.tgz                  - iOta binary package for FreeBSD
    db4-4.0.14.tgz                - BerkeleyDB 4.04 FreeBSD Package 

    iOta-0.6.src.tar.gz           - Sources for iOta (tarred and gzipped).
    db4-devel-4.0.14-14.i386.rpm  - BerkeleyDB 4.04 (development).
